Sports Physiotherapist
Tanya is a titled sports physiotherapist who has a strong interest in facilitating recovery through modern practice, movement conditioning and functional training. She has extensive experience in various clinical and high performance settings both in Australia and internationally.
Tanya travelled to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janerio as the performance physiotherapist for the Chinese Olympic Windsurfing Team. Previous to this, Tanya was in Beijing as a contracted Performance Physiotherapist working with the Chinese Olympic Committee to support the elite level athletes on the Chinese National Team including those competing in weightlifting, gymnastics, diving, kayaking, swimming, judo and basketball.
Apart from elite athletes, Tanya has worked as a physiotherapist with the Defence Force both in Australia and the United Kingdom. She also enjoys using her experience and practice to improve the athletic potential of aspiring and emerging athletes from all sports, as well as the everyday athlete that wants to perform at their best no matter what their goal.
Tanya’s key areas of interest include return to sport strategies following injury, shoulder injuries, lower limb injuries, post surgical rehabilitation, tendon injuries, exercise rehabilitation, functional movement training and injury risk screening.
