Tara is a woman determined to get the most out of her life, which she shares with two teenage daughters and a little cat. She loves sports, the beach, playing the piano, a quiet wine with friends, reading, cooking and sleeping. Tara is a dedicated morning person who loves food and eating is one of the most enjoyable parts of her day.
Over the years Tara has achieved peace with her body but she is the first to admit that it hasn’t always been this way. She was once the type of girl who went on every diet under the sun, especially as a teenager. While she was always the life of the party, bubbly and confident on the outside, on the inside Tara wanted to be thinner, prettier, better…and so began decades of struggle with eating disorders and diets…that never solved her problem.
Finally, Tara was given an opportunity to change her health. She had a health issue that needed fixing and she took the steps necessary to fix it. During that time, Tara realised she was hung up on a superficial version of herself. All the things she was doing to make herself more appealing to look at were actually making her unhealthy on the inside, mentally and physically. So Tara decided to clean up her life and adopt a new attitude that ending up changing her life.
Tara realised that her mind is and has always been the problem. Now she looks at life with gentle eyes, pursues balance, takes notice of how her body feels and deals with stress at its core. Tara views food as medicine, seeing it as glorious, luscious and nourishing. Instead of depriving herself, Tara nourishes herself with foods she enjoys, working with her own bio-individuality to nurture her long-term health. This is a passion that Tara is committed to sharing with her clients.
