Velothon 8 week training package. Starts Tuesday, 29th May! ​

​The Sunshine Coast Velothon is coming! Have you got your training program ready?
Let our team of highly trained coaches and sport scientist help get you into gear with our three training packages designed to provide you with the fitness and local knowledge required to best prepare for the 361km 3 day Velo, 90km or 152km 1 day Velo.

Calculated training for your best ride

Each package has been specifically designed by our Head of Sports Performance Brodie Gardner for the Sunshine Coast Velothon event to maximise your training time and event enjoyment. Brodie, a Professional Triathlete and World Champion Medalist himself, has successfully trained multiple athletes to international success.

What you receive: 

The weekly program includes 2x indoor cycling classes at 5:30am Tuesday and Thursday morning's to keep you safe during your mid week rides whilst training specifically to power, as well as a long Saturday ride from 6am to train on some of the course routes. 
At the start of the program, you will undertake a Functional Threshold Power Test (FTP Test) to determine your training zones and then a second test half way through the 8 week program to help measure your improvement.

In addition, you will receive a free goodies pack valued at $70 including great products from Clifbar, a Cagerocket bottle for tools, tubes and levers and other goodies.

Choose your package, BASE, GOLD or PLATINUM:
Our 8 week training packages will provide you with the fitness required to complete the challenging 3 day ride as well as tips on how to recover from each day and course rides to familiarise yourself with the event. Need a little extra? Choose the GOLD package to receive unlimited strength and conditioning sessions per week. With over 13 classes available, the classes will help develop strength, speed, power and improve your body composition, making it easier to ride, for longer. 
Select the PLATINUM package and you'll receive all of the above plus a 1hour remedial sports massage per fortnight for the duration of the 8 week program. Helping to prevent injuries and aid in a faster recovery, the regular massages will keep your body intune and get you ready to give it your all come race day.
